انجمن زنان افغان ، اخیرا پس ازمرور فعالیتهای اجتماعی خود و با دریافت این حقیقت که برای پاسخگوی به مطالبات زنان افغان که دچار مشکلات فراوان فرهنگی و زبانی در جامعه کبک هستند به نیروی انسانی بشتر و همبستگی زنان افغان نیاز است . بدین منظور برنامه را بردی خویش را تدوین مینماید .

The call of Afghan Women’s association in Montreal
for new Excutive Board membership
Montreal, 1st December 2007
The Afghan women’s Association in Montreal (AWAM) was established in
2002 to facilitate and support the integration process of Afghan immigrants and
introduced Afghani culture to the Quebec society.
Since its establishment, AWAM has implemented various projects, which
include language retention and immersion, skill training, and cultural and
national recreational activities. Amongst the most
important projects within these categories are the weekend Persian/Dari
language schools located in two different parts of the city, the English/French
language courses for new immigrants, and skill based training activities such
as handicrafts and cooking for uneducated immigrants.
The AWAM has recently conducted a review of the last four years of its
existence and in view of the findings resolved that there is an urgent need to
respond to the demands of Afghan women refugees and immigrants who are facing
discrimination and hardships during their integration process to the Quebecois
society due to language and cultural differences. Therefore AWAM has concluded
that there is a need for the solidarity and unity of Afghan women in Montreal
in order to design a participatory strategic planning to overcome the current
problems of Afghani women living in Montreal.
We are calling all Afghan elites and women activists who are interested
in volunteering their time to become members of the executive board and committees
of AWAM. Your commitment and participation in the activities of the Afghan
Women’s Association is an opportunity to aid your community towards achieving
prosperity and better future.
